Dearcroft students shine wherever they go! This week Dearcroft embarked upon our annual Celebration of Winter trip, giving our Senior Elementary students a well-deserved winter escape; a chance to slow down and come together as a group. Over our four days together, students were able to unwind and experience Canada’s wonderful winter landscape. It doesn’t take much time for everyone to forget the stress and worries of everyday life and find joy in play.
This winter trip provided even more of a valuable chance for the students to work together as a team, developing leadership skills through every activity. Challenging group work, patience, listening, creative problem solving, and conflict resolution all contributed to building stronger students. They are leaving the trip with greater independence, resilience, integrity, and strength of character. Everyone is appreciative of the tireless efforts of Jessie (a.k.a. Cedar) of Leap Adventures to create a safe, positive and rich learning experience for our Dearcroft students!
