On January 9, Dr. Deep Saini, Vice President, University of Toronto and Principal, U of T Mississauga Campus, visited Appleby to meet with the Integrated Science Club students working on the project, “Salt Stress on Various Types of Pulses” in collaboration with the scientists at the Canadian Light Source (CLS), the synchrotron facility in Saskatoon. The students have started the preparation and research for their experiment that they will complete at CLS. Dr. Saini is an expert in plant physiology and he talked to the students in great detail about their proposal and experiment. He also gave very sound advice and useful suggestions for the project.
