The Ontario Winter Games were held February 25 to March 2 in Lake Muskoka. The Appleby Varsity Girls’ Hockey Team was well represented at this elite event with Upper One students Jessica Smith, Kaitlin Saxton, Samantha McCluskey, Sydney McCluskey, Jennifer Dumont, Melanie Forbes and Emma Thompson, along with Middle Two student Amy Dobson all participating. The girls were fortunate to have an exceptional coaching staff and a team of volunteers from local high schools to support them. It was an incredible experience that taught each member to pave the road toward their dreams with hard work and ambition.
