On April 23, Senior One students Sheyenne Chapman, Allison Choi, Suranart (Ta) Kasitipradit and Lauren Torrie, accompanied by faculty members Marg Hagey and Andrea Kelly, travelled to St. George’s School in Vancouver, British Columbia to be part of the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) Student Leadership Conference. During the conference, attendees had a chance to meet students from across Canada and attend interesting workshops focused on leadership. They also had an opportunity to hear from amazing speakers including Donovan Tildesley, a Canadian Paralympic swimmer; Shane Koyczan, a Spoken Word Poet; and Severn Suzuki, the daughter of Canadian environmentalist David Suzuki. In addition, they experienced the beautiful city of Vancouver through a city scavenger hunt and attempted dragon boating. The students had an amazing time and are excited to implement some of the great ideas they learned during the conference!
