The DECA Ontario Provincials this year was the best and biggest ever! Five of us competed alongside over 6,000 students hoping to make it to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, Florida. But the competition is much, much more than results and how successful you were in the event itself. It is about putting your name out there, showing what you are made of, meeting new and old friends and discovering a potential passion. DECA is an excellent avenue to explore your interests and see if you are geared towards business. The venue was fantastic; the city, excellent; and the contestants, judges and Executive DECA Council, were fantastic! DECA provincials allowed me to more firmly confirm that I have a great passion for business. So I encourage all students with an eye for business to get involved and find out what you will discover through DECA! by Joey, Grade 11.
