Appleby Debating Team Dominates at the Ontario Qualifier

On November 24, Senior One students Nikhil Gowd and Albi Nani, along with Senior Two student Jackson Gillard, participated in the Ontario Qualifier for the National Public Speaking Championships. Competing in parliamentary debating, impromptu speaking and persuasive speaking, Jackson placed first overall, Nikhil eighth and Albi eleventh! Based on their outstanding scores and performances, all three students qualified to attend the National Public Speaking Championships in February 2016. Jackson and Nikhil will represent Appleby as a maximum of two students per school can compete. Congratulations!
