MacLachlan College, alongside the Oakville Community Foundation, the Indigenous Education Advisory Committee of the Halton Catholic and District School Boards, the YMCA of Oakville, the Town of Oakville, and a number of local independent schools and businesses, is hosting a community discussion on Truth and Reconciliation in Oakville. This event will acknowledge Oakville’s colonial past, as it is situated on the traditional lands of Indigenous peoples and still impacts the identities, prosperity, social well-being and political economy of these communities.
