From January 8 to 13, a group of nine students attended the Model United Nations (MUN) Conference in Prague, Czech Republic. Students had the opportunity to tour the city, have a traditional Czech meal in a famous monastery, listen to live music and learn traditional folk dancing. Participants also got to hear from an individual featured in the movie Velvet Revolution, and during the conference’s opening ceremonies listened to a judge who sat on the United Nations Tribunal Panel that presided over the Rwanda Genocide. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions about the trial. The group did an outstanding job debating global issues in their committees and presented some great resolutions for current world problems.
