SMLS students and guests had the opportunity to hear from four remarkable women in the fields of science, business, and the arts as part of our new speaker series. These women are celebrated as some of Canada’s most powerful and influential leaders in their respective fields. Thus far, we have had the pleasure of seeing Kathleen Taylor (former President and CEO Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts), Dr. Jennifer Blake (CEO of Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at U of T), Barbara Stymiest (Chairperson of Research in Motion), and Seana McKenna (acclaimed Canadian stage actor primarily celebrated for the roles at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival). In March, we will be welcoming Roxanne Joyal (Rhodes Scholar, Lawyer, Activist and Co-Founder of Me to We) and Dianne Craig (CEO of Ford Canada).
These women are wonderful role models for our students.
