From March 7 to 23, Senior One students Michael Hendrick, Sahil Ahuja, Mithun Vijayasekar and Senior Two students Matthew Maziarczyk, Neil Sachdev, Simon Harris, Trevor Waite, Tashi Lama, Alexander D’Aguilar and Ryan Kipp, with faculty members Leah Sandilands and Mark Duncan, partnered with World Challenge for Appleby’s inaugural Senior Expedition to Nepal. The group began their journey in Kathmandu, visiting Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School (SMD). Students spent four days painting classrooms and leading activities for SMD students. During their time in Kathmandu, the group was honoured to meet the school’s founder, the Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche. The group also had the opportunity to experience an exhilarating six-day trek in the culturally diverse Helambu Region of the Himalayas.
