On February 25, four Appleby College students attended the Winter Fulford Debating Competition at Royal St. George’s College in Toronto. In the junior competition, Upper One students Janice Peng and Sawsan Haider debated both sides of the resolution: This house believes that Canada should pursue more free trade. Sawsan placed fourth overall. Senior One student Angela Xue and Senior Two student Albi Nani debated the same topic in the senior competition in the cross-examination style of debating. Albi finished third in the individual senior competition. Congratulations!
