Clanmore Montessori School has undergone a significant expansion, opening its doors not only to a remarkable new space, but also to some innovative and unique programs.

The new Gren Weis-designed expansion features 12,000 additional square feet to complement the existing heritage building, as well as the largest green roof in Oakville.

Clanmore has also launched a Montessori middle school program, which stands apart from what has currently been available for adolescent students in the Oakville/Mississauga area, not only in its content, but in its form as well.

Students, for example, operate their own small business or micro-economy, as an integrated part of their comprehensive curriculum. They have responsibility for all aspects of the business from product/service development to financial management, marketing and customer service.

Clanmore has also launched a co-curricular cooking program where children as young as five years of age gain practical kitchen and food handling skills. At the end of the program, the children will be able to offer a full course meal to their parents.

Students attending Clanmore receive education which is truly developmentally responsive and addresses the whole child. Parents can be assured their children will spend their days in a place where passion for learning is fueled where each child is valued as an individual and where joy is palpable. The atmosphere is loving, nurturing, respectful and welcoming.

Clanmore strongly adheres to the Montessori philosophy where each child is respected as a unique individual receiving an individualized approach to their educational needs, whatever those needs may be.
