The grade 6 class recently traveled to Mountsberg Conservation Area for a biodiversity study as part of their science curriculum. While at Mountsberg the students learned to classify different coniferous trees according to their physical characteristics. They explored the woods, fields, and pond and found creatures such as turtles, moths, beetles, and larvae in their natural habitats. They also met some of the snakes and birds that live at Mountsberg. The class continued their study in class by examining unicellular organisms using microscopes.
