On May 26, Dr. Damian Pope, a physicist and Senior Manager of Educational Outreach at the Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, visited Appleby. Dr. Pope led hands-on enrichment workshops to Anjuli Ahooja’s AP Physics students and gave presentations on Cosmology, Dark Matter, and introductions to Quantum Physics. The students performed two experiments to understand how dark matter was discovered and to find Planck’s constant.
