Eleven Appleby students participated in an International Service Project with Habitat for Humanity in El Salvador over the March Break. Before starting their project work, the group spent time learning about the country. During the first week they completed a home for a family; the group raised and leveled the floors inside, installed sidewalks and painted. After a mid-project break, the students started construction of a home for a second family. There was lots of cement mixing, cinder block moving and digging involved. A very successful project was had by all.
