As part of a review of the Environmental impacts of agricultural practices, Appleby’s Senior One Environmental Science class visited Everdale Farms in Hillsburgh, Ontario. Students interacted with local farmers and learned about sustainable practices related to agricultural production, energy use, waste management, human health and the environment. Students also had the opportunity to harvest organically grown vegetables and observe a variety of free-range livestock including sheep and chickens.
