DECA is a not-for-profit student organization with more than 215,000 members in the United States, Canada, and many other countries. DECA prepares emerging high school and college leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Founded in 1946, the program has impacted the lives of more than ten million students, educators, school administrators and business professionals providing a remarkable experience for the preparation of emerging student entrepreneurs.
On Wednesday November 4th, 14 Upper School students participated in the DECA regional competition at the Hamilton Convention Centre. MAC made a very strong showing for our small delegation, winning several awards. Joey placed in the top 10 for his examination score, Griffin placed in the top 10 for both his simulation and examination scores, and the team of Scott and Alessandro placed in the top 2 overall in their category.
