On Thursday, February 9, Rotherglen students in Grade 6 ventured to the Ontario Science Centre to explore their next unit on Space. The students commenced the day discovering what it takes to survive the rigors of space travel and the myths associated with living in space. They even had a chance to witness an explosive launch of a hydrogen-powered rocket
After the morning presentation, the students engaged in many hands-on activities as they visited the variety of exhibits available throughout the building. The students came away from the day excited about science and ready to begin their own journey into the upcoming space unit.
