On Sunday, September 27, MACtion members along with other MAC students volunteered their time supporting Rotary International, a charitable organization. MacLachlan College is sending the school’s old desks and chairs to schools and community centres in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Rotary International has donated sewing machines, fabric, and materials as well as the cost for the shipping container that will be sent to the D.R. Students, staff, and community volunteers sorted and packed fabric and materials that will be placed inside the desks and will be shipped at a later date.
