As an International Baccalaureate – Primary Years Programme (IB-PYP) school we are committed to on-going professional development and we encourage our teachers to be active members of the IB learning community. The IB offers various workshops that allow teachers to continue to be on the cutting edge of the latest trends and best practices in education. Each year they accept applications from teachers from around the world to become a workshop leader and member of the IB educator network.
I am very excited and pleased to announce that this year Ms. Ashleigh Woodward, MacLachlan’s grade 5 teacher, has been selected to attend the PYP workshop leader training at the IB Americas Primary Years Programme Academy and will be travelling to Philadelphia in June to complete her training. We congratulate Ms. Woodward as she takes on this new endeavor!
