Oakville Christian School was recently represented by 16 participants at the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF) from March 20-23. Once again, our students made us very proud and we are pleased to recognize and share in their success. OCS sent 12 projects to compete amongst almost 400 projects at Mohawk College. Together, these students won a total of 14 individual awards! Three students from OCS will continue on to the prestigious Canada-Wide Science Fair in Lethbridge, Alberta from May 11-18.
Last year at BASEF, OCS science teacher Beth Heska received the Champion Teacher Recognition Award for helping students prepare their science fair projects at a high level, leading many students to place high at the local event and later at the national competition.
