Inspiring each individual child

Clanmore Montessori School provides the finest quality, authentic Montessori environments for children ages 18 months to 15 years. Clanmore responds to and inspires each individual child academically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. Through experiential learning and the use of didactic materials, Clanmore meets the needs of different learning styles and is able to ensure that each child is suitably challenged. To complement its academically rigorous curriculum, Clanmore also offers an exceptional social curriculum and innovative co-curricular programming that fosters independence, self-esteem, co-operation, conflict resolution and respect of self, others and the environment.

Housed in a beautifully restored historic farmhouse, Clanmore borders on Joshua’s Creek Conservation Area in southeast Oakville. In 2013, Clanmore Montessori School opened a custom designed, environmentally progressive building to complement the existing school. The expansion seamlessly connects the indoor and outdoor environments.

Clanmore is the Irish word for “big family”. It is the goal of the school to provide a caring, nurturing environment for the children and their families. At Clanmore, we offer an enriched program of academic excellence; provide children with excellent social development through our Restitution Program, and attend to the individual needs of the children by giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential. In an environment that is based on trust and respect, our students become active, engaged members of whichever community they find themselves in.

With low student-to-teacher ratios and a highly qualified caring staff, the atmosphere is warm and inclusive. As the children are together with others of different ages, a feeling of family life prevails. A respect for the rights, dignity and integrity of each person who is part of its community is an essential tenant of Clanmore’s school philosophy, and Clanmore families and their children have a true feeling of belonging.
