Operation Christmas Child is an opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with children around the world.  Shoeboxes are packed with a wide variety of toys, school supplies, candy, and hygiene items and then distributed to children regardless of gender, race, religion, or age.  When possible, these children are also given the opportunity to hear the gospel message of Jesus Christ after boxes have been given out.  To date, Operation Christmas Child has collected and distributed over 100 million shoebox gifts worldwide.  Last year Canadians donated more than 662,000 boxes for hurting children around the world.

The OCS Service Council encourages students to take part every year, and this year we broke our record with a grand total of 244 shoeboxes to be given away.  Well done, OCS!
