Denver Winch, a Grade 5 student at Rotherglen Oakville Elementary was selected as a runner-up out of close to 5,000 national entries in a student essay contest held by Genworth Canada on The Meaning of Home. The Meaning of Home contest invites Grade 4, 5 and 6 students from across Canada to submit a written essay about what home means to them for a chance to direct $60,000to a Habitat for Humanity build of their choice in Canada. As one of the five runners-up, Denver won $5,000 to donate to the Habitat for Humanity of his choice. On March 25, Denver donated the prize of $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity Halton.
