At Glenburnie School, one of our goals is to help students develop 21st Century skills, so they will be equipped with the attributes necessary to become the leaders of tomorrow.  In order to reach this goal, it is imperative that students become critical thinkers and learn to communicate effectively.

In Mathematics, the Grade Six students were recently challenged to work in groups and solve a multi-step logical reasoning problem.  Once the problem was solved, students were asked to create and narrate a presentation using the ShowMe app on the iPad.  The goal of this presentation was to teach other students how to solve the problem.  Students were asked to keep different learning styles in mind, and to address the auditory and visual learner.  As a result of this project, students were able to further develop their critical thinking, communication, and technology skills.
